NTNU

NTNU contribute to the Land and Sea Tracks of the Nordic Master in Cold Climate Engineering.

NTNU has, through and together with UNIS - The University Centre in Svalbard, carried out a substantial amount of research the past 20 years to create the necessary basis for sustainable technological development in an Arctic environment. 

Some of the facilities that NTNU has to its disposal are:

  • A close collaboration with UNIS - The University Centre in Svalbard
  • Applied Underwater Robotics Laboratory – AUR-Lab
  • Research vessel Gunnerus
  • Cold room laboratory
  • Laboratory for dynamic positioning (DP)
